About the Double Slit Series - 10
"As a child growing up in an Eastern Bloc country under the influence of the Soviet Union,, my recollections of my grandmother rising in the middle of the night to wait in queues for basic necessities, with no guarantee of availability when it was finally her turn. Combining these memories with archives of images spanning the past decade, I crafted a series of photo-montages. Guided by the double-slit experiment in quantum mechanics, wherein observation shapes reality. This series delves into the convergence of observer, creator, the impact of social judgment, artificial intelligence, and human creativity, portraying the act of (self-) observation as the genesis of reality. A fusion of art and technology, where the boundaries of human expression meet the limitless possibilities of artificial intelligence. Each piece in this series is an experiment in merging human creativity with algorithms." - Mariya Pepelanova
